smoothSolver cannot reach low tolerance. E.g. compressible/rhoPimpleAdiabaticFoam/rutlandVortex2D : U tops out at 1000 iterations. In double precision it only takes 1.

Maybe make the (init)updateInterfaceMatrix take Field. There is about 20 or so implementations so not too much work.
