@Pawan, @andy - this has come up before. Need to comb all the code...

Hi @graups - probably need 2-3 h to sift through the code. OK?

Hi @mark - yes I am OK with this.

Hi @graups - I made a few starts at this. I would ideally like to do the job right, and thus we have the IOobject::scopedName() method added in a while back. However, it looks like the rabbit hole just goes deeper than one would like (German: "ein ganzer Rattenschwanz").

Additionally I get more nervous in the release month. So I'm now thinking that we hit these more or less one at a time. If you have a favourite hate list of fields that annoy your windows machine, we'll start from there. There are a number of fields like thermo:mu which are used as internal tags, possible as output fields but would have to be very careful that we don't cause any collateral damage - did I mention that it is release month and I get more nervous?

Hi @mark, the one described in this ticket is really the only one on my hate list at the moment. I know I've had some issues in the past with Langrangian fields as well (ticket #902 (closed)), but we aren't commonly running those simulations yet, so there isn't any urgency on those.

If you could come up with a solution for the one described in this ticket, that would be sufficient for the time being.
