GitLab now enforces expiry dates on tokens that originally had no set expiration date. Those tokens were given an expiration date of one year later. ENH: add help/usage for dirToString, wmkdep. Add dirToString -strip option.

- The dirToString -strip option is simple, but reduces effort for the caller.
