Hi Mark, hi Andy,

In the release notes of the Foundation version 5.0 I saw, that Henry made some changes to the BASH Tab completion of all OpenFOAM commands. Maybe this is already everything we need. As we will not use v1706 we can wait until these changes, if sufficient, make it into v1712. Could you check the new functionality of the Foundation release?

Hi Fabian,

I did some reading on the weekend, the main change we need is simply the '-o filenames' option without too much more fuss. Unless Andy can explain what the point is, I'll also drop the '-o nospace' option, since this really makes it feel clunky to me. @Prashant

May wish to revisit if we want special option-suppression following a *Dict as is currently the case.

If you want to test it, just need to grab the bin/tools/foamCreateBashCompletions file to generate your own completions.
