Overset performance degradation (re-opened)

I'm reopening this topic as preliminary testing with our model using the latest v1912 release shows the same issues.

In the following I'll present the results from testing based from what we learned from the previous discussion in #1183 (closed) using with tutorials from the official release (twoSimpleRotors and boatAndPropeller) and our test case (surfboard maneuvering).

The v1912 will be also compared to v1706 as the old release so far is the only one able to run our model with no issues.
