simulation stop at reaching a preset wall time

Feature to stop the simulation at a prescribed wall time (and write the results?). This is for running under batch queueing systems to avoid them killing the job. (or can the queueing system 'warn' us when it wants us to stop (and give some time for writing)?)

Note that there is already in the etc/controlDict the 'stopAtWriteNowSignal' which allows us to write and stop upon receipt of a signal. I quite often set it to 2 so a ^C on the terminal forces a write before exiting.

If the feature is using the wall-clock only, this might fit as a variant of the abort function object (eg, with a wallClock option), or maybe just a copy of it?
